RMA stands for "Return Merchandise Authorization". This authorization process not only allows an item to be returned but also establishes an internal tracking system for returns that allows our returns department to process your return as efficiently and quickly as possible.

All items being returned to us must be authorized for return in advance.  You must request and receive an RMA BEFORE shipping the item(s) back to us.  Depending on the warehouse you will be sending the return back to, you may receive a physical label to print out and affix to the outside of the package, or simply an RMA number that needs to be written on the box/envelope.

Refunds for returns that do not have the label/number on the outside of the package will be delayed or potentially denied.  The RMA identification tells the warehouse whose order this is and what to do with it.  It also tells the returns department if the item is in resalable condition or if it is damaged or defective.  This helps to ensure that another customer does not receive a product that has been previously identified as defective. If the warehouse does not receive the RMA reference information, they are unable to process the return.

Here is an example of an RMA label:

RMA Labels and numbers are sent by email, with complete instructions on how to return your item, and where you can return it to.  If we have made an error on your order, a shipping label will be sent attached to that email as well.
