Your RV air conditioner installation will consist of two main components: the rooftop AC unit and the inside ceiling assembly.  Because rooftop units can work with multiple ceiling assemblies, there will be two separate model numbers involved.  If you are looking for parts associated with the inside controls, electrical control box, grille, or ducting, you will need to know the model number of the ceiling assembly.

For everything else, you'll need to find the model number of the rooftop unit.

If you are lucky, there will be a sticker inside an interior cabinet or closet listing all of the model numbers (and possibly serial numbers) of all the installed appliances.  If the air conditioner model number is not listed there, you'll need to get set for a trip to the roof.

On the roof, remove the plastic shroud (or cover) on the rooftop air unit.  This usually involves the removal of only 4 screws.

Once inside, look for a sticker listing all of the numbers and specifications for the unit.  Here are some examples of where they might be located on different units and what they might look like:

The label may also include valuable information on compatible ceiling assemblies, thermostats and electrical control boxes.

To locate the model number for your inside ceiling assembly, remove the plastic grille covering the assembly.  The model number will be somewhere on the metal frame above the grille.
